Our Agreement

Overview

EXGE is a free, lightweight tool for creating and sharing anonymous feedback channels. By creating, sharing, or responding to a pulsecheck, you agree to the terms on this page.

Beta / Experimental Status

EXGE is currently offered as an early-stage, “beta” / experimental service. That means it may change, pause, or shut down at any time, and it may contain bugs.

Important: Please do not rely on EXGE for anything mission-critical or life-or-death. Do not use it as the only system for:

  • Emergency, medical, or safety-related decisions.
  • Legal, financial, or regulatory compliance decisions.
  • Any use where a failure, delay, or data loss would cause serious harm.

Think of EXGE as a helpful, lightweight feedback tool — not a guaranteed or regulated enterprise system.

Privacy & Data Use

  • Creators: When you create a pulsecheck, you provide an email address so we can send your links and optional notifications about new responses. We store that email together with your title, questions, and settings.
  • Respondents: Respondents are not asked to create accounts. We do not intentionously store IP addresses or device IDs in our response data files, and we do not try to identify individual respondents from their answers.
  • Basic logs: Like most sites, our hosting environment may keep limited technical logs (for example, IP addresses or user agents) for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. These logs are managed at the hosting level and are not part of normal EXGE survey files.
  • Donations: If you choose to donate when donations are available, we store the email you provide and basic donation details so we can say thank you and keep simple records. Donations are voluntary gifts that help keep EXGE running. Donating does not create an account, subscription, or additional rights compared to free users.
  • No sale of data: We do not sell your information to third parties.
  • Where your data lives: EXGE is hosted in the United States. If you use EXGE from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and stored on servers in the United States under US law.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep creator data and pulsechecks so the service can function — to let you share links and view results — until you delete them, ask us to delete them, or we retire the service entirely.

If you are a creator and want us to remove your information, you can request deletion:

  • Use the contact form.
  • Start your message with DELETE-ME (all caps, on the first line).
  • Include the email address you used when creating.

When we receive a valid DELETE-ME request, we will send a confirmation link to that email address. You will need to click the link to verify that you control the email. Once confirmed, we will aim to remove or anonymize data tied to that email address within roughly 30 days, except where we are required to keep limited information for legal, accounting, or abuse-prevention reasons.

EXGE is designed so that responses are anonymous. In most cases, we cannot reliably match a specific response back to a specific person. Because of that, we usually cannot delete a single response without deleting the entire pulsecheck.

Backups and hosting: Our hosting provider may create and store large-scale backups of servers that we do not directly control and cannot individually edit. Deleted data may continue to exist in those backups for a period of time, but it is not part of our active systems.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use EXGE to:

  • Post or solicit illegal content.
  • Harass, threaten, or intentionally harm other people.
  • Violate intellectual property rights.
  • Collect sensitive personal data (such as full names with contact details, financial information, health records, or government IDs).
  • Attack or overload the service, or otherwise misuse EXGE in a way that disrupts others.

We may remove content or restrict access at our discretion to protect the service and its users.

Free “As Is” Service & No Guarantees

EXGE is provided on a free, “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. For example, we do not guarantee:

  • Uptime or continuous availability.
  • That data will never be lost, corrupted, or unavailable.
  • That emails (including links and notifications) will always be delivered.
  • That content, results, or reports will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular use.

Donations, if and when available, help support hosting and development but do not create a paid service level, contract, or guarantee.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EXGE and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Hold Harmless

By creating or sharing a pulsecheck, you agree to hold EXGE harmless from claims arising out of:

  • The content of your questions.
  • How you describe or present your questions to others.
  • How you choose to interpret and act on responses.

Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you submit to EXGE. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate EXGE and show results to you and your respondents.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time as EXGE evolves. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of EXGE after changes means you accept the revised terms.
